PARKING: Complimentary parking is available to all Banff Centre campus guests. Parking areas are indicated on the campus map (see location tab for map). Parking is also permitted on the street. Please do not park in the area noted as "2-hour parking only" outside of the Sally Borden building. This is managed by the Town of Banff and guests could face a parking violation if parking in those areas longer than 2 hours.

PARKING ALTERNATIVE: ROAM Transit offers convenient and frequent shuttle bus to the Banff Centre Theatres via Route 7 (Fenlands – Banff Centre). This route connects: Downtown Banff, Fenlands Recreation Centre, Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity. NATIONAL PARK PASS: Banff Centre operates inside Banff National Park. Any guests entering Banff National Park are required to purchase a park pass. This can be done ahead of time by visiting the Parks Canada website: https://parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/visit/passer-passes or by visiting a kiosk when entering the park, or at the Visitor's Centre at 224 Banff Avenue.

Dance studios bringing large props or set pieces must use the loading dock located at the back of the Jenny Belzberg Theatre.
To ensure smooth access and proper coordination with venue staff, studios must email the Summit Dance Challenge team at least 48 hours in advance to schedule a prop load-in time. This allows our team to notify the venue and ensure staff are available to assist.
Loading Dock Availability:
Prop load-in is generally available between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, when venue crew are on site.
Important Notes:
Advance scheduling is required. Studios should not arrive at the loading dock without a scheduled time.
Earlier notice is always appreciated to help us coordinate access.
While the venue will do their best to assist with urgent situations, unscheduled access cannot be guaranteed.

LOWER LEVEL: Quick Change rooms and access to rehearsal hall and backstage.
MAIN LEVEL: Lobby, Merch Table, Audience Theatre access
UPPER LEVEL: 2 Large Female Dressing Rooms, 1 Male Dressing Room, 1 All Gender Dressing Room and access to rehearsal hall.

TAP SHOES are prohibited in all areas of the venue with the exception of the Margaret Theatre (AKA-The Rehearsal Hall)

DRESSING ROOM RULES: Dressing rooms will be shared and assigned by studio. CLEAN UP after yourself, NO FOOD or DRINK except bottled water, NO photos or videos, and NO PARENTS allowed in the dressing rooms other than to assist your child with a costume change and then must exit promptly. Thank you for your cooperation. Remember, both dancers' and parents' etiquette contribute to your school's eligibility to win the STUDIO SPIRIT AWARD and a PIZZA PARTY.

Check-out time is 11:00 a.m daily. Late check-outs will be charged a late check-out fee. Late check out may be requested through Guest Services.
Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. on arrival day. You may try to check-in earlier, but we cannot guarantee that your room will be ready.Early check in may be requested through Guest Services.
Banff Centre has a strict no smoking policy in all guestrooms. Designated smoking areas are available outside of each building. Please ask for assistance if you are unsure.
Wireless internet is available free of charge and the coverage is campus-wide. Look for banffcentre.ca from your computer, a password is not required.
Children aged 16 and under should always be under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or coach.
The Sally Borden Gym and Recreation Centre is open daily from:
Monday to Friday: 7:00 am - 8:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
Statutory holidays: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm

Guests can access the gym and pool facilities by bringing their room key to the gym desk. Change rooms, lockers and showers are available, and towels and locks are included. Guests aged 17 and under are not allowed in the weight room.

Award sessions take place at the end of each performance session. A studio representative must be present at all award sessions, as awards cannot be shipped or collected at a later date. This includes the Grand Awards presented at the conclusion of the competition.

Important: If a soloist is registered with more than one dance school, this must be brought to our attention in advance. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from overall awards.

Our schedules are thoughtfully created to minimize time away from school and work.

After registration deadlines, studios receive their entry details to review and request corrections at no charge before schedules are built. Once the schedule is created, changes that affect the running order will be subject to a schedule change fee, so please review carefully.

Date-specific requests submitted in advance will be considered for graduation conflicts only. For other conflicts, studios may request a dance-ahead opportunity after the draft schedule is released. Adjustments are not guaranteed.

Final studio schedules will be shared at least one month prior to the event.

Accurate birthdates are essential—any errors in a dancer’s date of birth may result in their media key not functioning properly.
